Well I have been researching for about a year now and I am ready to start posting blogs.
These are the areas I have explored towards planning for a great retirement…
What am I going to do with my time? – seems I may have 20+ years how will I use this – really key question I dont want to be stuck in front of the telly!
Will I be healthy enough? There is no point having lots I want to do if I am not healthy enough to do them – how can I prepare now?
And lastly ….
Can I afford to retire? – interesting this has come up third and last – all the money in the world wont be of any use if I dont have my health and it would be sad to have loads of cash and be in great shape if i am bored.
So my future blogs will be around these topics – at the moment.
I guess my question to you is have I got the areas correct?
Any views on adding some?
Any views on changing the order?

My aim here is to “tiptoe” into retirement and ensure that I have a fantastic time with my family.
Fleshing out my aim a little more I guess I want to create a retirem
ent life (and as a Christian guided spiritually) rather than just accept the one that life gives me.
How about you? – do you want to create the retirement you really want or just accept the one that life gives you?
As I tackle this question it would be great to share, on the way, and learn from others as well.
As I write this I intend to read some key books, talk to people, distil what I have learnt and put the relevant bits into play in my life.
I would love to have a laugh on the way share the blind alleys, smile over the impossible dreams and celebrate the journey.
Having looked around, it seems to me that nearly all of the retirement Blogs focus on finances – which is a vital part however just one part – how am I going to spend my time plus a bit on will I be healthy enough? will be more my focus.
Thinking a bit more writing this blog will help me ensure that I really understand what I have been reading and gaining from others – explaining it helps.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the journey and letting them shape my path.
